The Michael Phelps team needed a brand refresh for a line of swimming products leading up to what was supposed to be the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. They partnered with Roundhouse to re-think their brand positioning and help re-launch the Michael Phelps brand.

The wordmark is the primary logo for this brand as the Phelps name needs no introduction. The icon was inspired by Poseidon and his trident. It’s housed in an upside-down delta—the elemental symbol of water. The trident and delta create an “M” a reference to another water icon, 23-time Gold Medalist Michael Phelps.
